Kinders Walkers farm is located in southern Ohio (one hour southeast of Columbus). We are near “Hocking Hills State Forest” and “Tar Hollow State Park” horse bridle trails.
We started out purchasing Tennessee Walking horses for breeding, training and selling many years ago. Pleasure riding and camping are also a big part of our lives. We enjoy traveling to new places each year to ride and camp, however right in our back yard is “Hocking Hills” where we spend most of our time with our horses. We have found that “Hocking Hills” has some of the best bridle trails and scenery of all the places we have been so far, we love it ! Some of the scenery to see is Old Mans Cave, Ash Cave, Rock House, Repelling Area and several other caves and waterfalls. There are other bridle trails close like Wayne National Forest, Pike Lake, Paint Creek and Shawnee just to name a few.
We have traveled to many places in search of a natural gaited Tennessee Walking horse and done much research online for just that right Walker breed. Most Modern Tennessee Walking Horses did not suit us for our needs. Our search lead us across the TWH Heritage website. We then did some research on the Heritage Tennessee Walking horse and found that they have a natural gait, along with intelligence and a willing attitude. We contacted Billy Taylor, a breeder in Winchester, TN, who had some Heritage filly’s for sale. Our conversation with Billy Taylor lead us to other breeders like Diane Sczepanski of Whitehall, WI and Benny Branham of South Carolina. Our search for the perfect Tennessee Walking horse was complete. We took a trip to Winchester, TN to meet Billy Taylor and visit his farm. On this trip we also got to meet some other wonderful Heritage breeders and their horses, Danny Taylor, Benny and Carolyn Branham, Carl Parks, Todd Finley and Leon Oliver.
We are so excited to be a part of such a wonderful investment-quality horse, to help protect and preserve the rare bloodlines in the Heritage TWH breed, and to educate people in our area on what we have found.
